Police say a 14-year-old boy who had been missing since Monday night has been found.
Jennifer Parker posted a photo and description of her son, Dakota, who she said was last seen with two older boys at Shaw’s in Bath at 9:30 p.m. Monday.
She wrote to The Times Record in a Facebook message that her son had messaged one of her former co-workers, “telling him he needs help ASAP,” and then was not heard from after.
At around 3:30 p.m. though, she posted he’d been found safe.
Bath Police Lt. Robert Savary confirmed that police were searching for the teen, who said he was coming home but never showed up, prompting a call to police from his mother at around 10 p.m. Monday.
Savary said earlier Tuesday afternoon that police had been checking with friends the boy could be with and his usual hangouts. Dakota receives tutoring so doesn’t attend school. He was eventually located on Wing Farm Parkway in Bath but Savary had no further information.
