SCARBOROUGH — The Biddeford girls lacrosse team made some history on Thursday night as the Tigers scored in the final minute to pick up an 11-10 win over Scarborough.
The victory was the first time the Tigers ever took down Scarborough, which just happens to be the alma mater of Biddeford coach Caitlin Albert.
Biddeford also secured its best regular season record in program history as they go into the Class B playoffs with a 10-2 mark.
Megan Mourmouras took a pass from Abby Allen and beat the Scarborough goalie to secure the win on Thursday.
Paige Laverriere scored three times and added one assist to lead Biddeford. Peyton McKeown added two goals and two assists, while Serena Speight also scored two goals.
Biddeford got one goal each from Grace Boisvert and Brooke Reissfelder. Ella McKenzie stopped nine shots in the cage.
Kennebunk 9, Windham 5
The Rams closed out a perfect regular season with a win at Windham on Thursday.
Hallie Schwartzman and Bri Beaudette scored three goals each to lead Kennebunk, which improved to 12-0 and will head into the Class A South playoffs as the top seed.
Kennebunk scored four times in the final 14 minutes to break open a 5-5 game.
Emily Archibald added two goals for Kennebunk.
