SACO — Frederick D. Thibeau, 68, of Roebuck Avenue, passed away Tuesday morning May 23, 2018.
He was born in Portland on Aug. 3, 1949 the son of Frederick and Berly Burnell Thibeau.
Frederick graduated from Scarborough High School and SMVTI with a degree in Welding.
Frederick served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. After his service to his country, he returned home and worked as a pipefitter in power plants and paper mills.
Frederick was a member of the VFW in Jay Maine and the Saco Eagles Club.
He enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include his wife Anita Crowell Thibeau of Saco; two stepsons Ian and Heath Douglass; three daughters, Allison Barrett, Heather Lynch, and Kimberly Thibeau; and a stepdaughter, Tiffany Douglass; three sisters, Linda Manos, Susan Gamash, and Patty Wheeler; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A service will be held in July, (exact date and time to be determined) at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale with U.S. Navy Honors.
