Two men were arrested early Wednesday morning after two residents found them breaking into their Harpswell home.
Brunswick police and deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office were called to a burglary in progress at 3:20 a.m. at 850 Cundys Harbor Road. Two people who live in the home were awakened by noises coming from their basement and, when they went to investigate, saw two men fleeing the basement, police said.

One resident chased and eventually detained one suspect with the help of a local EMS provider who happened to be at the nearby fire station, police said. Brunswick officers then held the suspect until he was arrested by deputies.
That suspect was identified as Justin Robinson, 29, of Brunswick.
The second resident identified the other suspect as 19-year-old Connor Robinson, of Bath. He later turned himself in at the Brunswick Police Department.
The men, who police say are cousins, were taken to Cumberland County Jail in Portland. They were each charged with burglary, criminal mischief and theft.
