BATH — In more Bath Cal Ripken action, Bath Iron Works recently won three games over its competition.
Against Aceto, BIW won, 20-8. Oscar Gallant, Waylon Rhorer and Tucker
Delan led on the mound, striking out nine in the win. Rhorer had three hits, while Eli Sommers and Gage Suiter each had a pair. Gallant, Delan, George Elwell, Payson Bowling and Jacob Gerry each had a single.
The BIW team also took down the team from Durham, 11- 10. Gallant had four strikeouts on the mound, followed by Rhorer (three strikeouts) and Hunter Nadeau ( three strikeouts). Sommers, Rhorer, Gallant, Nadeau, George Elwell, Jacob Gerry and Scott Elwell each had a hit for BIW.
On Monday, BIW downed Smith Tobey, 11-6. Suiter and Sommers combined for eight strikeouts. Gallant finished up on the mound with one punch out.
Rhorer had three hits, while Suiter and Gallant each had a pair. Nadeau and Bowling also chipped in with a hit apiece.
Nolan Becker, Garrett Craney, Levi Riggs, Oscar Nelson, Fletcher McDonough took the mound for Smith Tobey. Levi Riggs had two hits, while Nelson, Nolan Becker, Paxton Fogg and Craney each had hits in the loss.
