LEWISTON — Margaret E. Frankenberger, 71, of Lisbon Falls, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at CMMC in Lewiston. She was born in Lewiston on March 7, 1947, a daughter of the late Albert and Marion (Ivinison) Kazimer.
She grew up in Lisbon Falls and attended local schools. She was a graduate of Lisbon High School, class of 1965.
After high school she attended a year of business college in Boston.
When she returned to Maine, she met and later married Robert Frankenberger on July 1, 1967, in Lisbon Falls and they started a family together. During that time she worked at the Worumbo Mill as a secretary. In 1971 she worked part-time evenings at W.T. Grant in Brunswick, which later became Grand City. She worked there for over 30 years overlapping her fulltime job starting in 1985 in the Main Office at Lisbon High School until her retirement.
She will always be remembered for her love of the Red Sox, New England Patriots and Lisbon High School sports. She also found great passion in reading, especially Stephen King, James Patterson and John Grisham, as well as listening to many different genres of music, with her favorite being ’60s and ’70s classic rock. Another favorite place for Margaret was spending time by the ocean. She would relax there and enjoy the peace and serenity that the waves would provide. She will be deeply missed by many.
She is survived by her daughters: Donna Scott and her husband Brian of Virginia Beach, VA, and Julie Frankenberger and her boyfriend Eric Childs of Sabattus. She also leaves behind her only grandson, Michael Scott, as well as her two sisters: Sally LeBlanc and Sue Tarbox, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1990.
