YARMOUTH — The Wells baseball team scored six runs in the sixth inning as the Wells picked up a 9-3 win over host Yarmouth on Wednesday.
Wells, which improves to 12-2 on the season, would get three hits from Gary Andrews.
Matt Tufts had a two-run single in the big sixth inning for the Warriors, who got a complete-game effort from Cam Cousins.
Gorham 6, Massabesic 5 (8 innings)
The Mustangs rallied from a 4-2 deficit in the seventh inning to take a 1-run lead, but Gorham would score one run in the seventh and another in the eighth to secure the win.
Tyler Lambert gave Massabesic a 5-4 lead with an RBI single in the seventh. The Mustangs put together five straight singles to rally in the inning.
Jake Gregoire had three hits for Massabesic.
Traip Academy 12, Old Orchard Beach 10
Traip would score five runs in the top of the seventh to rally past OOB on Wednesday.
Mark Johnston and Sean Pratt each had two hits for the Seagulls.
Softball

The OOB softball team split a pair with a tough Traip squad on Wednesday.
The win in the second game of the doubleheader moved the Seagulls — at least for the moment — into the 10th and final playoff spot in Class C South.
In Game 1, OOB would get a two-run homer from Megan Belanger and Meghan Pelletier went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in the loss.
Morgan Howlett-Brown picked up the win in the circle for the Seagulls in Game 2 as she had three strikeouts in a complete-game effort.
Kara Trott had the game-winning RBI single for the Seagulls, who got a pair of hits and two RBIs from Belanger in the second game.
Biddeford 5, Sanford 4
Katie Stewart tossed a complete game with three strikeouts and just three earned runs allowed to lead Biddeford to the win.
Olivia Whittaker led the Biddeford offense with three hits. Stewart helped herself with a single and two RBIs.
Tori Lawrence and Molly Boissonneault led Sanford with three hits each. Boissonneault also had two RBIs.
Boys Lacrosse
Portland 18, Biddeford 9
Tyler LaFlamme scored four times for Biddeford, but it wouldn’t be enough for the Tigers on Wednesday.
Biddeford would also get three goals from Liam Turner and Colby Plante scored twice.
