NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — The Midcoast Freedom women’s senior basketball team recently won the Connecticut Senior Games.
The tournament was split into two pools of four teams, with the Freedom going undefeated with wins over New Jersey, Massachusetts and Portland.
In the final, the Freedom faced Long Island and captured the 3-on-3 title.
Players on the team were Rita Maines, Kelly LaFountain, Lori LaPointe, Beth Harrington, Kim Plourde and Tammie Higgins.
