Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program is the recipient of one of five Volunteer Generation Fund grants awarded to community based organizations across Maine. The grant is funded by the Maine Commission for Community Service and the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program will receive $37,500 to increase capacity to utilize skilled volunteers to deliver services to hungry people and families, improve volunteer management practices and increase volunteerism to meet needs in its soup kitchen, food pantry, and food bank.
