NORTH BERWICK — The Noble baseball team scored five times in the fifth inning and would hold on from there as the Knights picked up a 9-8 win over Westbrook on Saturday.
Jacob Lacroix produced the go-ahead two-run single in the fifth to help the Knights improve to 6-3 on the season.
Jackson Vandenberg picked up the win on the hill as he tossed three scoreless innings of relief.
Gorham 5, Thornton Academy 3
Brogan Searle-Belanger went 3-for-4 with one RBI but it wasn’t enough to lift Thornton to the win on Saturday.
TA led 3-1 after three innings before Gorham scored two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to secure the win.
Luke Chessie added two hits for TA, which got a double and two RBIs from Tim Smith.
Searle-Belanger went the distance on the hill for the Trojans and finished with eight strikeouts.
