BRUNSWICK — The Mt. Ararat Middle School baseball team piled up 22 runs en route to a 22-8 victory over “Battle of the Bridge” rival Brunswick on Thursday.
Lucas Holman pitched three innings of no-hit ball and Luke Spooner finished up in relief.
Mt. Ararat bats were hot as the Eagles collected 18 hits led by Landon Chase, Brady Merrill, Spooner and Parker Bate with three hits apiece.
Other key hits were by Shea Farrell, Alex Wormwood and Holman. Chase turned in a sparkling defensive play at third base.
Brunswick scored six runs in the fifth inning and had key hits from Thomas Harvey, Matt Orlando, Jack Poulin, Jack Cullen and Will Dailey.
