BATH — Kylie Grendell scored the go-ahead goal with eight minutes remaining to lift the Morse High School girls jayvee lacrosse team to a 10-7 victory over Gray-New Gloucester on Thursday.
The teams played a back-and-forth first half, ending tied, 5-5. Still deadlocked in the second half, Grendell put the Shipbuilders (4-2) ahead to stay.
Morse goaltender Abby Sreden turned away four shots, including three late in the second half to preserve the Shipbuilder lead.
Koenna Moore scored four goals in the win, while Zoe Sreden added three, Grendell two and Emily Adams one. Nichole Brazee dished out three assists.
Paige Willis and Macey Coffin were solid on defense for Morse.
