TURNER — The Mt. Ararat Middle School softball team fell to Tripp, 16-4, on Thursday.
The Eagles dropped to 1-3 as Tripp scored six runs in the first and four in the third to take a 10-0 lead.
Mt. Ararat struck for a run in the fourth, but Tripp put up six more in the bottom of the frame to pull away.
Reagan Robertson and Emilia Baker had two hits apiece for the Eagles, while Hannah Hawkes, Angel Huntsman and Alex Durant each had a base-knock.
Hawkes pitched for the Eagles, striking out five in 3 2/3 Innings, and Robertson finished the final third of an inning with one strikeout.
