SANFORD — The visiting Bonny Eagle girls lacrosse team got four goals from both Jenna Litif and Lexi Theberge as the Scots picked up a 19-11 win over Sanford on Wednesday.
Bonny Eagle would also get three goals and one assist from Keelin Sweeney and Allie Carpine had two goals.
Sanford was led by Valentina Drown’s six goals. Lauren Lapierre had three assists and two goals, while both Jada Kimball and Alysha Simpson had one goal and one assist.
Chloe Royer had three saves and Dominique Gable had five saves as they split time in the cage for Sanford.
Bonny Eagle, which led 13-3 at halftime, would get six stops from goalie Samantha Dery.
BOYS TENNIS
Kennebunk/Wells 5, Sanford 0
Declan Archer, Dan Behrans and Mason Burke all won their singles matches in straight sets to lead Kennebunk/Wells to the win on Wednesday.
Keegan Donaher and Logan Strauss won at first doubles and Rory Sheehan and James Altham were victorious at second doubles for Kennebunk/Wells.
Thornton Academy 5, Biddeford 0
Caleb Richard, Jack Xiao and Adam Lovejoy earned singles wins to help TA take down rival Biddeford.
TA would get a win from Asher Thompson and Jack Cannon at first doubles, while Adam Charbonneau and Charles Qu won at second doubles.
GIRLS TENNIS
Kennebunk/Wells 5, Sanford 0
The Rams would get singles wins from Rosemary Campanella, Grace Campanella and Amelia Nelson as they swept Sanford on Wednesday.
Logan Bard and Emma Chestnut won at first doubles for Kennebunk/Wells, which got a win from Liv Talevi and Hannah Marquis at second doubles.
SOFTBALL
Massabesic 5, Thornton Academy 4
The host Mustangs would walk off with the win thanks to an RBI single from Grace Tutt in the bottom of the seventh.
Cayleigh Morris earned the win in the circle for Massabesic.
Thornton was led by Olivia Howe’s home run and Jenica Botting had a pair of hits.
Gorham 6, Biddeford 0
Grace McGouldrick held the visiting Tigers to just two hits as Gorham rolled to the win.
Brook Davis had a single in the first and a double in the seventh to lead Biddeford.
Biddeford’s Lexi Matteau pitched well in the loss for Biddeford.
The Tigers (5-4) will host Massabesic on Friday.
