RICHMOND

Caitlin Kendrick tossed a two-hitter and received ample run support as the Richmond High School softball team cruised to a 13-1 East-West Conference win over Temple Academy on Tuesday.

The Bobcats improved to 3-0.

Kendrick struck out eight in the win and was solid at the plate with four singles and four RBIs. Bryanne Lancaster and Sydney Underhill- Tilton added a pair of hits, while Leah Wescott finished with three base- knocks and an RBI.

Daphne Labbe homered for Temple.

Richmond faces Forest Hills in a doubleheader at Buckfield on Saturday (1 and 3 p.m.).

Baseball

BRUNSWICK — In makeup Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference action, Brunswick fell to Lewiston, 3-2.

Evan Cox earned the mound win, going the distance on eight hits, nine walks and eight strikeouts. Cam Daly pitched well for Brunswick, allowing six hits and four walks with three strikeouts.

Lewiston jumped out to a 1-0 lead as Brunswick (3- 6) made two errors and allowed an unearned run.

“ You can’t give a good team like Lewiston extra outs,” said Craig Rogers, whose Dragons visit Morse today at 4 p.m.

Cox and Jack LeBlond had two hits for the Blue Devils, while Ichino Honda and Cam Dunton pounded out two hits for Brunswick.

WINTHROP 23
WISCASSET 1

The visiting Ramblers scored 21 runs over the first three innings in a Mountain Valley Conference win over Wiscasset.

The Wolverines fell to 0-8 and host Mountain Valley today at 4 p.m.

Winthrop ( 2- 3) had 12 hits, including a pair of from Greg Fay and Carson Camick.

Boys lacrosse

BATH — Mason Savory and Wyatt Hudson scored three goals each to power Morse to an 11-7 Class B win over Marshwood on Monday.

The Shipbuilders improved to 4-2 and visit Brunswick tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Savory added a pair of assists, while Spencer Knowles chipped in two goals, Braden Olsen a goal and two helpers, Sheamus Mann one goal and an assist, and Gaige Kindlimann with a goal.

Dylan Maybee turned away 14 shots in the win.
