BATH — Bath’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee and the national League of American Bicyclists is organizing Bike to Work Week May 14-18. Both organizations encourage folks to bike to work or try cycling for fun and fitness.
The Bath Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee will be hosting two events. Members of the Bath Bicycle and Pedestrian committee will meet at the Bath YMCA parking lot on Tuesday, May 15 for the 2nd Annual Tour de Bath, departing the Y at 7 a.m. for an approximately 6.5 mile ride.
On Friday, May 18 at 6:30 a.m., the committee will be at the North end gate of Bath Iron Works to greet BIW bike commuters and had out safety items. Bicycle Coalition of Maine and the Specialized Bicycle are supplying the safety gear.
