I want Sen. Susan Collins to know that gun-violence prevention will be one of my top priorities at the ballot box.

I have just signed a pledge to be a “Gun Sense voter” this November, because I’m done waiting for Congress to act to prevent gun violence. This election, and for every election until this issue is resolved, I will join the majority of Americans who support common-sense gun laws and vote for a candidate who protects their constituents’ safety over the gun lobby’s money and stands up to, not for, the radical, harmful National Rifle Association.

I hope to see Sen. Collins reject the NRA agenda and stand up for what the majority of her constituents want.
