GIRLS

Morgan Pike, Massabesic lacrosse: The senior midfielder had four goals and two assists to lead the Mustangs to an 11-7 victory over Yarmouth in a game between two of the state’s top programs. Pike also scored a team-high four goals in Massabesic’s 8-0 season-opening win over Thornton Academy.
HONORABLE MENTION
Lacey Bean, Massabesic softball: The junior infielder had a couple of big days to help the Mustangs to two wins. She had three hits and drove in four runs in a 15-5 win over Sanford, then came through with three more hits, including a home run, and two RBI in a 9-1 win over Portland.
Caitlyn Camelio, Falmouth lacrosse: The junior midfielder had five goals and an assist to lead the Yachtsmen (2-1) past Messalonskee 15-11. Camelio has scored 12 goals in three games as Falmouth’s leading scorer.
Alyssa Gagne, Poland softball: The sophomore pitcher threw a no-hitter, striking out 10 in a 6-0 win over Yarmouth. That came after a two-hit, 4-0 shutout of Fryeburg Academy with eight strikeouts.
BOYS

CJ LaBreck, Thornton Academy lacrosse: The junior midfielder spurred Thornton Academy’s comeback 11-10 victory in overtime over Cape Elizabeth. He scored four of his five goals in 2:30 of the fourth quarter to turn an 8-5 deficit into a 9-8 lead, then assisted on Jack Webb’s winning goal. LaBreck also scored three goals in a 12-5 win against Deering.
HONORABLE MENTION
Dylan Morrison, Cheverus tennis: A freshman playing No. 2 singles, Morrison came through twice this week as the final match in 3-2 victories over Marshwood and Gorham to lift the Stags to 3-0. He won 6-2, 7-5 against Marshwood despite losing four straight games in the second set, and 6-4, 6-1 against Gorham.
Nick Thompson, Scarborough baseball: The sophomore struck out 12 batters through 61/3 innings of shutout ball and added a two-run single in a 5-0 win against Deering.
Reilly O’Brien, Portland lacrosse: The Bulldogs’ senior attackman followed up a nine-goal, two-assist effort in a 14-5 win against Westbrook with a three-goal, four-assist game against Edward Little, helping to rally his team from an early 3-0 deficit to a 9-6 win in Auburn.
