BIDDEFORD – Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap will speak about ranked-choice voting in Biddeford on May 14, it is one of four presentations on the issue to voters taking place in various locations around the state.
Ranked-choice voting will be used in the June 12 primary election.
Dunlap will make a presentation fro 4 to 6 p.m. May 14 at McArthur Library, 270 Main St. in Biddeford.
His other presentations will be in Lewiston, Bangor and Presque Isle.
Secretary of State spokeswoman Kristen Muszynski said for those who are interested but unable to attend, Dunlap will offer the presentation and question-and-answer session via Facebook live on Thursday, May 24, at 6 p.m., on the Maine Department of the Secretary of State Facebook page.
Dunlap will provide information on what voters can expect to see at the polls and how the ranked-choice tabulation will be conducted, and answer voters’ questions.
Muszynski said Dunlap will also remind voters of the related people’s veto referendum question, which will be presented on a separate ballot on June 12.
