BATH — The Kennebec Estuary Land Trust invites kids and families to learn how to identify trees in spring on Earth Day, Sunday, April 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Butler Head Preserve in Bath. Co-sponsored by the Bath Community Forestry Committee and led by Stewardship Coordinator Cheri Brunault, the program is geared toward naturalists 7 years old and older, but all are welcome.

Butler Head Preserve is owned by the city of Bath and protected by a conservation easement held by the land trust. The Bath Community Forestry Committee maintains the trail network and manages the property. At 141 acres, Butler

Head Preserve is forested with shoreline along Merrymeeting Bay and Butler Cove.

This event is free and open to public. Registration is required by April 20 due to the limited class size. Call (207) 442-8400 or visit kennebecestuary.org to sign-up. This is a light rain or shine event.
