KENNEBUNK — When those in the grip of social misfortune need help, hope and a second chance at life The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is there.

For moe than 100 years, The Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center programs have provided spiritual, social, and emotional assistance for men who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves. Centers offer residential housing, work, and group and individual therapy, all in a clean, wholesome environment.

Join The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center at Maine Cleaners located on Route 1 in Kennebunk for its Donation Drive. The event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, and all donations are tax deductible.

The drive benefits the Salvation Army’s efforts to fund the Adult Rehabilitation Center.

The physical and spiritual care that the program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment. Many of those who have been rehabilitated are reunited with their families and resume a normal life.

Residents, community leaders and local businesses are invited to help the Salvation Army help others.

Since the Salavtion Army does not solicit government funding, the ARC program is made possible through the generosity of those who donate goods that can be sold in its family thrift stores and help the ARC program provide services that are made available to participants.
