Wells Elementary School’s Parent, Teacher, Student Associations (PTSA) sponsored and organized the event.

Ages kindergarten through fourth grade girl had the opportunity to dress up and get glammed up and arrived to the event that started at 6 p.m.
“I know many girts felt very special getting all dressed up and seeing the school gym transformed into a magical enchanted forest,” said WES Principal April Noble
The giant ballroom had been transformed to resemble a magic forest and lush garden to keep on theme. The theme for the event changes each year.
“This event is a tradition and a way to celebrate time with family or loved ones,” said Noble.
Several PTSA members and parents held with the two-month project, including a rush to decorate as the date approached.
The Girls Gala Committee consisted of Alison Pucciarelli, Kim Bohn, Loran Townsend and Jennie Lawson.
“A theme had to be formulated, research done and props built leading up to this special night,” said PTSA member Alison Pucciarelli
Twenty-eight business donated items for a basket raffle and a combination of individuals and six businesses donated supplies, donations, and assistance constructing props.
“We…would really like to thank our generous community of people, families and businesses who volunteered their time, donated food, supplies, and raffle items,” said Loran Townsend on behalf of the PTSA.
The PTSA members and volunteers did a lot of hard work to make this event come together for the girls in the days before the event.
“Alison Pucciarelli, her husband Gary, and Kim Bohn did an unbelievable job…giving our girls as close to a magical experience they could get,” said Ciorra.
They spend much of the last two days assembling decorations and then working more hours after the dance removing the decorations.
“That’s an amazing amount of work for so few people to do,” said Ciorra.
There were refreshments for the guests in the school’s lunchroom, portraits of the couples provided by Everlasting Photos by Sasha and music provided by DJ Mike Bacon
“This is truly one of the family fun events that will hold lasting memories for parents and children,” said Noble.
The school holds a similar event in the fall for moms and female relatives.
