TOPSHAM — The American legion will be having its annual law enforcement breakfast on April 14 at the Topsham American legion Post 202, 79 Foreside Road Topsham, from 8-11 a.m.
This annual event is part of an American Legion District 8 Department of Maine’s program that recognizes individuals who put themselves in harm’s way to keep their communities safe. The Veterans and members of the 8th District, Brunswick, George T. Files Post 20, Bath, Smith-Tobey Post 21, Harpswell, John Leo Murray Jr. Post 171, Topsham, Corey Edwin Garver Post 202, Phippsburg, Memorial Post 216 take great pride in honoring our local Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, and First Responders, this year’s annual event marks the 47th consecutive year that the Legion has conducted this special awards ceremony that was started by the late Gilbert Ormsby past Commander of Post 202.
