BRUNSWICK — The duo of Julie Dachille and Brigit Bergin were named to the All-New England women’s hockey team for the 2017-18 season.
Senior captain Bergin and classmate Dachille were both tabbed as First Team All-NESCAC selections as well.
Dachille led the Polar Bears in goals (16), while dishing out five assists for 21 points. The senior put away one power-play goal and four game-winners, while notching three hat tricks this season. Dachille graduates with 68 career points off 42 goals and 26 assists.
At defense, Bergin also received All-Region recognition. The captain posted two goals and eight assists and helped lead the team to a 5-1- 2 mark in NESCAC play through the final month of action. Bergin tallied one game-winner and a powerplay goal in her senior season.
The Polar Bears upset fourth-seeded Hamilton in the NESCAC quarterfinals, but later fell to NESCAC champion Middlebury in the semis to end the year.
