SANFORD — The following people were arrested or charged by Sanford Police from March 16 to to March 19. If there is no listing for a specific date, it means no one was arrested or charged with a crime on that day, according to police logs provided by the agency:
• Valerie R. Chesley, 53, of Brentwood, N.H., was arrested and charged with operating under the influence at 10:25 a.m. March 16 on Main Street.
• Christopher Kenneth Walsh, 31, of Alfred, was arrested on a warrant on Main Street at 10:59 a.m. March 16.
• Christian O. Cummings, 41, of Kennebunk, was issued a summons charging theft by receiving stolen property at 11:08 a.m. March 16 on Main Street.
• Timothy Hilaire Carmell, 70, of Sanford was arrested and charged with domestic violence assault on Kilby Street at 8:08 p.m. March 18.
• Benjamin R. Bedell, 34, of Sanford, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a scheduled drug at 4:10 p.m. March 19 on Alfred Road.
• Joshua Griffin, 28, of Wilmington, Mass., was issued a summons at 5:39 p.m. March 19 charging he drove more than 30 miles over the speed limit on Main Street.
