An Auburn woman has been charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon after firing a gun in a Lewiston apartment, police said.

Amanda Darling, 30, was arrested Saturday after firing a gun into the ceiling at 10:17 a.m. at the Meadowview apartments on Spofford Street during an argument with a resident she was visiting, Lewiston police said in a statement.

Police said Darling took out a handgun and fired one round into the ceiling. She left the scene and was taken into custody a short time later in Auburn.

Police said no one was hurt.
