KENNEBUNKPORT — The members of First Congregational Church of Kennebunkport, Music Director and Organist Joyce Painter Rice, and the Rev. Jim Henry, Interim Pastor, invites all to a Hymn Sing at 2:30 p.m. on Palm Sunday, March 25.
The event will celebrate Holy Week with favorite hymns of community, inspiration, and reflection. Hymns will include: All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name, The Old Rugged Cross, Lord of the Dance, Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross, Lead Me, Guide Me, How Great Thou Art, Were You There, Let There Be Peace on Earth, and more. Free will donations are welcomed.
In addition to the periodic suppers and other events hosted by church members, the Rev. Jim Henry and congregation welcomes you to attend Sunday church service which begins at 9:30 a.m.
The church’s Easter Sunday service on April 1 will be at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome at First Church.
First Congregational Church is located 1.5 miles south of the Seacoast Trolley Museum where Log Cabin Road becomes North Street, next to Arundel Cemetery, and near the Kennebunkport Historical Society.
From Kennebunkport’s Dock Square area take Spring Street to a left on Maine Street to North Street and follow North Street to First Congregational Church on the right.
