Wonderfully Made
Psalm 139 reminds us that we are so precious to God that nothing can remove us from his supporting and comforting presence. Knit together by God while we were yet in our mothers’ wombs, we are wonderful to the nth degree. How exquisitely and delicately formed are we! Who could not marvel at our very existence? The human body contains highly sophisticated and integrated systems, which are capable of digesting food and drink, and a heart that rhythmically pumps and circulates needed oxygen to all parts of our bodies. Our nervous systems allow us to maintain balance as well as to breathe involuntarily and allow all bodily functions to carry on without interruption. We have eyes that see, ears that hear, not to mention a brain more powerful than any computer ever built. For centuries doctors, scientists and researchers have studied the complexities of the human body, and are still to this day coming up with new knowledge and discoveries. All the works of God are far beyond our human understanding. We are, indeed, fearfully and wonderfully made. God created us in his own image and we are made for eternity.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
