GORHAM — The University of Southern Maine men’s track and field team picked up 12 top three results, including six first-place finishes, at the Maine State Open held this weekend at the Costello Sports Complex field house.
The meet ran for two days and was non-scoring.
USM sophomore Nick Harriman of Lisbon won the one-mile run in 4:26.74. in the mile (4:26.74).
The Huskies’ 4 x 400-meter relay team, which includes former Mt. Ararat standout Justin Pierce, took the top spot in 3:27.62. Pierce was also third in the 200-meter run (24.08).
USM heads to Tufts on Saturday.
