WELLS — Applications are now available for the 31st annual Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival, to be held Sept. 8 and 9, at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm. Application information is available at wellsreserve.org/crafts. Applications are due March 21.
The world of nature is the heme for this juried festival, which brings 120 of New England’s artists and craftspeople to the seaside reserve. Quality and originality are key criteria used by the selection committee.
Proceeds from the crafts festival benefit education, conservation, and research programs at the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve. To learn more, call 646-4521 or visit wellsreserve.org.
The Wells Reserve is funded by the member-supported Maine nonprofit Laudholm Trust and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The Wells Reserve is just minutes from the Maine Turnpike and U.S. Route 1 near the Wells-Kennebunk line.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
