A 32-year-old Portland who was reported missing since Wednesday night was found by police Thursday afternoon, Portland police said.

Douglas Putnam was separated from friends Wednesday when he exited a friend’s car about 9:40 p.m. as it was stopped on Walker Street near Brackett Street. He was intoxicated at the time, police said.

When the driver circled the block and returned, Putnam was gone, according to police. He was not dressed for the weather and was wearing only a T-shirt, jeans and skate shoes, police said.

Putnam was next seen at Lazarri, a restaurant on Congress Street, just after 10:30 p.m., but it is believed that he left there by himself. He was without his cell phone and house keys, friends told police.

Putnam was located shortly after police released a statement looking for assistance locating him.
