BURLINGTON, VT — The Middlebury College ski teams continued its carnival season with a fourth-place finish at the Vermont Carnival on Friday and Saturday, highlighted by the men’s Nordic team placing three racers in the top nine to capture the men’s 10K classical race on Saturday.
On Friday, senior Adam Luban earned the best finish of his Middlebury career in the 20K freestyle race, placing second overall with a time of 53:27. Next up for the Panthers was junior Sam Wood of Harpswell, who covered the course in 54:56, good for 13th place.
Nordic races were held at the Trapp Family Lodge, while the alpine events took place at the Stowe Mountain Resort.
Dartmouth won the event with 969 points, followed by the University of Vermont (932), New Hampshire (701) and Middlebury (645).
