TOPSHAM — The Medomak Valley boys high school basketball team outshot Mt. Ararat for a come-from-behind 71-58 victory over the Eagles on Monday in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference action.
Mt. Ararat fell to 7-10, hosts Brunswick on Thursday and sits one spot out of a postseason position in the Class A South Heal Point Standings.
The Eagles led 48-44 heading to the fourth quarter, but the Panthers ran off 27 points to close it out down the stretch, including a 20-0 run. Medomak made 13-of-14 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.
Greg Malin led Mt. Ararat with 13 points, while Austin Damon had 12 and Jared Balser 11.
Ryan Creamer scored 18 points for the Panthers.
