YORK COUNTY — Nature lovers have multiple opportunities to go and explore the great outdoors this month thanks to a series of guided excursions led by land trusts in Southern York County.

The four events will take place on land trusts that are part of the Mt. Agamenticus to the Sea Conservation Initiative, a coalition of 10 environmental organizations working to connect 19,000 acres of conserved land in the region ranging from the Tatnic Hills in South Berwick to the rocky coast in Kittery. The coalition has already helped protect more than 14,000 acres and has more than 60 miles of hiking trails.

These tours will allow participants out to explore forests, tidal marshes and other habitats rich with wildlife and history.
