Despite having to make up a home game late Monday night at the Camden National Bank Ice Vault, Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse boys hockey kept things rolling with a third straight win, defeating Windham/Westbrook, 6-1.
Sam Alexander led the Eagles ( 5- 7) with a hat trick, while Jacob Sargent scored two goals and added an assist. Noah Austin chipped in three assists to go with his cousin and linemate Nick Austin’s goal and assist. Owen Kelly added one helper, and Mt. Ararat/ Lisbon/ Morse goaltender Cade Charron finished with 22 saves to get the win.
Windham/ Westbrook’s Austin White scored the lone goal for the visitors on an assist by Travis Brown. Netminder Sean White was outstanding despite taking the loss, making 37 saves.
The Eagles head right back to the Ice Vault today at 5: 10 p. m. with a big Class A North tilt against Cony/ Monmouth/ Hall- Dale.
Girls basketball
HEBRON — Maddy New drained three 3-pointers in the opening quarter as Hebron Academy rolled to a 41-12 Class C South win over Hyde.
The Lumberjacks (8-3) led 15-2 after a quarter, 20-2 at the half and 31-8 after three.
New finished with 13 points, while Franceska Halloran led all scorers with 14 points.
Kyra Holdampf and Jada Halford had four points apiece for the Wolfpack, who fell to 4-8 and host St. Dom’s today at 5 p.m.
