BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick High School jayvee Orange girls basketball team raced out to a 14-6 first-quarter lead before holding on for a 39-34 win over Medomak Valley on Saturday.
The Dragons led 26-13 at the half before the Panthers made a second-half run.
Rosalie White led Brunswick with 14 points and 10 rebounds as she anchored the Dragons’ stingy half-court defensive effort. Maggie Folsom and Emily Cloutier split 14 points for Brunswick. Hannah Fortier, Kendahl Dow, Chloe Coombs and Folsom provided strong defensive support with ball pressure and help-side reads as Brunswick played its strongest defensive game of the season against a talented Medomak Valley squad.
Abby Lash paced Medomak Valley with 13 points.
