A Harpswell man was sentenced Monday to more than four years in federal prison for stealing firearms from a Brunswick gun dealer.
Hyunkook Korsiak, 36, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Portland to 52 months behind bars by Chief Judge Nancy Torresen for theft of firearms from a federally licensed dealer.
According to officials, Brunswick police responded to a burglar alarm at C&R Trading Post on Jan. 3, 2017, and found a broken window near the door. A tracking dog was brought in and several firearms, a sledgehammer and drops of blood on the snow in the nearby woods were located. The blood was later determined to be Korsiak’s.
He pleaded guilty to the charge in September.
