SANFORD — Louis B. Goodall Memorial Library has been selected again as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Cause Bag program.
The Hannaford Cause Bag program launched in October 2015 and is designed to support local nonprofits through the sale of the reusable Hannaford Helps bag.
Goodall Memorial Library was selected by Hannaford store leadership as the February beneficiary of the program at the Sanford Hannaford store.
For every Hannaford Helps reusable bag with the good karma message purchased at the Sanford Hannaford during February, the library will receive a $1 donation.
“I am so please that Goodall Library has been chosen as a beneficiary once again,” said library directror Jackie McDougal. ” This shows that our community members values it’s assets and I believe strongly that in order to better the minds of a community, you need a public library. This support will certainly help us in our continued efforts to offer expanded educational, cultural and entertaining offerings based on the needs and interests of our members.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
