NEWCASTLE — The Mt. Ararat High School freshman boys basketball team led 20-12 after the opening quarter and never looked back as they defeated Lincoln Academy, 50-38.
The visitors held leads of 25-12 and 38-20 at the half and through three quarters.
Jace Hollenbach led Mt. Ararat with 16 points, while Will Kane and Andrew Dyer added nine and six points, respectively in the overall great team effort.
The win puts Mt. Ararat at 4-6 and hosts Leavitt today at 4 p.m.
