OGUNQUIT — Real Maine Weddings magazine, a twice-annually published Maine-focused wedding publication, is giving away a complete dream wedding package for the eighth year in a row.
Emily and John Robinson, who won the 2017 contest, were happily married on Peaks Island this past October. The winners of the eighth annual Real Maine Wedding of the Year Contest winners will exchange vows will celebrate their wedding in a three-day event that will be valued at up to $100,000.
“Couples interested in winning this beautiful wedding package should visit www.realmaineweddings.com to submit a two minute video, explaining why they want to be married in Ogunquit, Maine,” said Melanie Brooks of Real Maine Weddings. “Entries will be posted on our website starting on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2018, and members of the public will once again be encouraged to vote for their favorites. Three finalists will be chosen and the winner of the 2018 Real Maine Wedding of the Year Contest will be announced at the Maine Wedding Association’s Freeport Wedding Show on March 25, 2018.
“Entering the Real Maine Wedding of the Year contest was the best thing we could have done,” said Michelle Perry, winner of the magazine’s 2016 contest in York. “Our wedding day was above and beyond what we could have ever wished for. It was fun and easy. Winning was a dream come true.”
The winning couple will have aspects of their wedding voted on by members of the public using the Real Maine Weddings website. Facets of the wedding that will be up for voting include the wedding gown, tuxes, wedding bands, wedding cake, attendants’ gifts, and much more.
“Winning was a surreal experience,” says Emily Corradina, the 2017 winning bride.
“Never in our wildest dreams did we actually think we would win the whole thing,” said John Robinson, the 2017 winning groom. “We got to know some really amazing people and now we’ll always have pictures of every part of this incredible journey to cherish and look back on.”
