SURRY (AP) — The Maine fire marshal’s office says a woman was found dead in a burning home in the town of Surry.
The fire was reported late Sunday and officials said they recovered the body of a woman believed to be the home’s occupant.
WABI-TV reports that the victim’s name has not been released.
Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours early Monday.
Fire marshal investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
