BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College senior Riley Bubb has been named a Second Team All-American selection in awards announced by D3soccer.com this week.
It is the first All-American honor for Bubb, who was named First Team All- NESCAC and First Team All-New England this season.
Bubb started every game for a Bowdoin defense that owned the NESCAC’s second best goals against average (0.52), which ranked 12th overall in Division III this year.
Bowdoin finished an outstanding year with a record of 10-4-4, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four season.
This is the eighth year that D3soccer.com has recognized the top men’s and women’s players from across the nation. The three men’s All-America teams are comprised of 33 total players representing 21 schools and 14 different conferences from a field of nearly 400 nominations.
