WATERBORO — A Saco resident is facing misdemeanor assault charges after he allegedly assaulted several people in a Waterboro home on New Year’s Day and then ran away.

No significant injuries were reported, said York County Sheriff William King in a statement.

Tyler Longmore, 20, was located at his Saco home two hours after the incident, was charged with Class D misdemeanor assault and posted a $100 bail. He is scheduled to appear at Springvale District Court Feb. 27.

King said that at about 4 p.m. Jan. 1, York County Sheriff’s Office deputies were summoned to a Townhouse Road address for a report from a female resident that Longmore, her former boyfriend, had allegedly threatened to show up and assault a person in the home.

Before deputies arrived, Longmore appeared at the home and assaulted several people and fled the scene, said King in a statement.
