Mid-Coast Public Transportation has formed a transportation advisory group in Sagadahoc County that will also include Brunswick and Harpswell. The advisory work group will be involved with increasing access to public transportation in this area, according to a press release.

MCPT is looking for involvement from stakeholders in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to assist in guiding the expansion of public transportation.

“Our organization has provided public transportation in the Mid-Coast region for over 30 years,” MCPT Director Michael Hallundbaek said in the release. “ Last year, we provided almost 300,000 trips through our transportation programs. But through community assessments, we know that there is a need for further development of public transportation, and we are responding to that need.”

The advisory group will meet Jan. 19, 2018 from 9- 11:30 am, at Bath City Hall.
