SANFORD — Lauretta T. L’Heureux, 89, of Sanford, died on Monday, Dec. 25, 2017 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

Lauretta was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on Jan. 4, 1928, a daughter of Aristide and Appolina (Lambert) LeBorgne.  She graduated from Westbrook High School and was employed at S.D. Warren for 15 years.

In 1965, she and her husband moved to Kittery. She was a communicant of St. Raphael’s Parish where she had been a member and president of St. Raphael’s Altar Society and served as a Eucharistic minister for the homebound.  In 1991 she and her husband moved back to Sanford where she was a communicant of St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church.

Lauretta was predeceased by her husband, Edward L’Heureux in 2011.

Surviving are two children, Michael L’Heureux and his wife Josée of Old Orchard Beach and Noreen Jimenez and her husband Jack of Wellington, Kansas; a brother, Roger LeBorgne of Westbrook; a brother-in-law, Fr. Ernest L’Heureux of Springvale; five grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Tyler, Alec and Kevin and one great-granddaughter, Khloe.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30 at the Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, located at 29 Winter St. in Springvale.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, located on North Avenue in Sanford.  Interment will be held in the spring at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
