BRUNSWICK — All Saints Parish will host a special Christmas carol sing-along in front of the town gazebo located in the Mall (between Maine Street and Park Row in Brunswick) on Christmas Eve at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome.
The parish will donate one dollar to the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program for each person who comes to sing.
“We sing just fifteen minutes of unaccompanied, traditional Christmas carols,” said Sheila Murphy, the parish’s youth ministry coordinator. “Usually, we have around 100 people.”
This is the 16th year that the parish has organized the gathering. Many people come year after year.
“I love this event,” said Murphy. “I really love being able to sing about my faith in a public place. It’s a simple way of ringing in the holy night.”
The Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program, located on 84 Union Street in Brunswick, provides food for hundreds of local families through a food bank, food pantry, and soup kitchen.
The lyrics for the carols will be provided to those who attend.
