TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School girls jayvee basketball team took a pair of games recently, defeating Kennebunk in overtime, 49-46, and Brunswick, 38-36.
Jaden Lohr led all scorers with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Kennebunk. Erin Harty added 11 points with eight rebounds, while Lauren Magno and Kassidy Dixon each had 10 points for the Eagles. Hannah Giggey chipped in with a solid defensive game while hauling down eight rebounds.
Against Brunswick, Magno paced Mt. Ararat with 10 points and eight boards. Lohr was 6-of-8 from the free-throw line, scoring eight points. Lohr also grabbed seven rebounds. Maddie Daulerio and Alexa Eaton each added eight points in the win.
With the victories, Mt. Ararat improved to 3-0 on the young season.
