FIVE STUDENTS were recently celebrated for their winning entries in the Diocese of Portland’s Christmas Card Art Contest. The winners’ creations will appear on the Christmas cards that will be sent to 2017 Catholic Appeal donors. Among the winners were Alivia Kuntz and William Maher of St. John’s Catholic School in Brunswick, whose cards appear here. Each winner received a framed display of their artwork and a gift bag that included Jubilee Year of Mercy rosary beads as well as 20 Christmas cards featuring their respective artwork. The winners, and their families, were also invited to an Italian dinner with the bishop.
