BRUNSWICK — Community Spay-Neuter Clinic will be displaying its large collection of handmade quilts this month at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick. This display kicks off the clinic’s seventh year providing subsidized spay-neuter for low-income pet owners. Proceeds from the show will go toward the clinic’s Jackie Fund. All quilts are for sale. An open house will be held Dec. 15 from 4-7 p.m.

This large quilt collection has been donated to Community Spay-Neuter Clinic by a quilt maker to help low-income pet owners afford humane care for their pets. The Jackie Fund has so far raised more than $2,000 from the sale of these quilts. The fund is reserved for humane veterinary care for pets from low income households that are a undergoing spay or neuter. It is used to provide significant relief in the event of a condition that the owner cannot afford to treat, for example severe parasite infestation, or infection. The quilts feature dogs, cats, fish, birds, and now books. Quilts range from place mat-size to more than 5 feet long

Community Spay-Neuter Clinic in Topsham has provided spay-neuter to more than 28,000 pets.
