OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Libby Memorial Library in Old Orchard Beach has many resources to offer the community and recently the library held a fine-free period for patrons to return circulation materials which were overdue in exchange for donations of personal care products for the OOB Community Food Pantry.

It is typical for the library to be a resource in the community and support other non-profit organizations.

Libraries are many things to many people, just like OOB Community Food Pantry which provides nutritional aid, connections to additional resources, clothing, and other essentials to members of the community in need.

Their new website is oobcommunityfoodpantry.org and has an easy, secure way to donate online.

“The collection was just tremendous,” said OOBCFP Board Director Sandra Paynter. “It is so very generous of the library to select our organization.  We can’t fully express our extreme gratitude.”
